I got the 105 VR Macro, brilliant lens :D Just thought I would let you know what I bought in the end. -
Who will be buying the Leica X1
Someone recommended a Canon Powershot S90, they said that the camera performers better in low light than the Canon G11, faster wide angle lens and the ISO can be pushed u... -

Are Canon Lens Prices Going Up?
Probably a bit late on this one but Canon have put their prices up by 6% since the beginning of 2010, Phil -
Different make of lens
I started of with 3rdparty lens but over the years I have replaced them with Nikon lens, I do still use a Sigma 15-30 with great results but even that will be replaced wi... -
Which lens for portraits?
"Sounds like the 60mm Macro is your best bet of your current lenses as it will get you a much sharper result using an aperture of around f8-f11, the 24-120 isn't real... -

Wow - the posabilities and suggestions seem endless to this querie!! I started out with 2 Sigmas with my D80 - 17 - 70 & 70 - 300 But hated the fact there was no overl... -
Size really does matter or does it?
Zeiss did a special Hasselblad-fit 1700mm f4 a while back. No surprise, it was a special order with the lens designation written in Arabic on one side. -
Nikon portrait lens - should I?
Nikon do a pair of specialised portrait lenses, the 135mm f2 DC which I use and a 105 f2 version. An extra ring on the lens allows the bokeh to be controlled, or if take... -
Nikon fit lens wishlist (If money were no object)??
"Don't discount your 18-70mm lens it's better than many of the replacements you're considering. I have the 16-85mm VR and I don't think it performs as well as the ...

I was going to buy this lens but went for the new Nikon 16-35mm VR instead, I do like to have a filter over the front glass.- 12 Apr 2010 9:28AM

Posted on: Nikon D3s main features
This is it, a true pro tool, the Number One Pro camera, this will get the job done, a friend of mine bought a Nikon D3s the other week and I got the chance to use it, it was amazing but very big camera, mind you my friend with the D3s is also big and an amazing photographer.- 12 Apr 2010 9:12AM

Posted on: Nikon D3S Digital SLR Review
I look at it in this way, for the price of a Nikon D3s body you can buy a Nikon D700 plus grip and Nikon 24-70mm and still have change, so this ISO thing is not that important to most of us, My D700 with it's Nikon 24-70 Lens performs very well in low light, saying all this there probably pros who need the extra ISO and very strong body of the D3s.- 9 Feb 2010 9:24AM

Posted on: Canon Powershot G11
I have the Canon G9, I often use the tele end at 210, the G11 only goes to 140, I will wait and see if the G12 has something worth upgrading to, maybe it's lens will be something like 24-180mm, then I might consider.- 7 Nov 2009 6:28PM

Posted on: Nikon D3s launched
Saying all I said above does not mean I won't buy the Nikon D3s next year, If I can get the money together I will be buying this camera, the D3s is the camera I have been waiting for and will knock the spots of the D700.- 16 Oct 2009 6:43AM

Posted on: Nikon D3s launched
It all sounds tempting but the price, I will wait until the D700s or D800 is born, PS-I hear the video on the D3s is less than the D5000
If money grew on trees I would be out there ordering 4 D3s but all my trees have is squirrels and my local photo shop does not trade Nikons for rodents- 16 Oct 2009 6:17AM

Posted on: Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Review
I bought the D5000 for it's simplicity and size for using it as a snapshot SLR, I normally use a Nikon D200 and this is fitted with a Battery Pack, so it's quite heavy, but the D5000 is a good bet for taking out for a fun day out, although I bought the D5000 for it's simplicity, it's amazing if you want that the D5000 is also very versatile when you want it to be, I love it.- 3 Oct 2009 9:51PM

Posted on: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Hands-on Preview
I might buy a DMC-GF1 instead of an X1, seems I nice little camera with interchangeable lens, maybe stuck with fixed lens of the X1 does not give one much choice, so I might be buying the DMC-GF1.- 2 Oct 2009 9:34PM
