Blue Reed

I had a lyric from Nick Cave picked out, but thought that 'Blue Reed' suited it better!!

I like the blue of the reflection and the green and the light of the reeds.

I must have the settings on my camera wrong, cos all the mid tones are wrong, so a little PS levels and a crop for tension and here it is. Hope you like it!!! :>)

Love the colours Ella. It seems a little bit pixemalated is that becasue of EPZ or the PS jiggery pokery? Like it (not sure about the title though!!) click. Tom.

Beautiful composition Ella,lovely colours and textures,can't help thinking there's a large croc on the other side of the reeds!

Ah, the Design Consultant!

As mentioned above, the blue in that lovely variation of lit/shadowed green, makes for a really effective image. Did you use a flash to highlight the green or was there some other lighting?

Mark, I used the flash and it was a very sunny day, though this was in shade. I was trying to work the link thing out and was very excited to be able to do it eventually!!! :>0

I cleared a load of reeds out of my pond the other day, I knew I should have pushed the camera in amongst them. Nice capture, simple but effective, I like it.
