I like the three grains of pepper on the lemon. Don't know why, but they make the shot for me.

My first thought when I looked at this photo was that it was too crowded and I preferred the previous one. But on further reflection I really like the compostion, with the burst of colour on the left fading away to a few peppercorns on the right.

My kind of ingredients! You could cook all sorts of great dishes with that ensemble. Very nice image, it'd look good on my kitchen wall.
