No Strings Attached

This is just a close up of a 12 string guitar. I liked the colour and the richness of it. This was taken under the normal dim lights of our dining room, with an added standing light so I was quite pleased with the result. I cropped it so close cos I liked the tension of it better. Mike tells me it is now the right way up for a right handed guitar player (I couldn't tell!!)

I have not been around much lately so I hope that you still remember me. I'll try to get around a bit more in the next few days.

My very sincere thanks to all of you who have asked about my friend, it is very much appreciated. :o) She is back from the brink and assured Mike (a Newcastle fan) that there was no black and white light at the end of the tunnel!! He said that she obviously didn't get to the right tunnel!!

I like this Ella. Nice and simple but effective. My only comment would be that it might work better in landscape

Re the title on my shot -'Postcard of Tobermory' - Tobermory is the location for a children's TV programme 'Balamory'. The very annoying and catchy title song includes the line "What's the Story Balamory..." You really should try to avoid watching the programme as it sucks you in...

Thanks Rob for your explaination. Mike has just told me it is on now, I thought it was an old one, but either way I dont watch it - no kids!!

Cant give individual thanks today cos MIke has a bottle of wine opening and I am gasping. Going to spend some time with him!!

Mike - thanks, yes I have been a bit busy, you know life and all that!! I dont really understand lighting at all, though am slowly getting the idea that it might be important!

JIm, thanks for your comments, I always think of your guitar shot as a comparison when shooting guitars and this one came the closest for colour and warmth.

What a great shot! I wish I had seen this before I took my daughters guitar strumming shots and made her poster, its given me another idea. I really enjoyed browsing your entire portfolio. You are truly an artist with a camera...
