Shadow Steps

Cropped right down on blue steps I spotted in Albuferia (a truly frightening place!!!).

I liked the contrast of the blue and white and tried with the rest of the photo, but thought that this was really what it was all about...just the steps. I am a bit worried about the shadow but not quite sure what to do about it.

I would appreciate a bit of advice about this.

Thanks all. Richard, I just really like bright colours so notice this sort of thing, it is subtle shots that I miss. Thanks Den, and Adam, glad you like the shadow. :0)

Don't worry about the shadow, what you can do when you get a better handle on PS, is to clone one of the complete step edges, not a broken one, feather it about 3 pixels, copy it to the clip board and then paste it back in, use the move tool to position it over one of the broken steps and so on, until you have complete steps, no broken eges...capiche? Then again, you may prefer it _with_ the broken edges? First off you must do your pics to suit YOU, then be pleased if anyone else enjoys them..right?

I'd leave the shadow - don't try and over-perfect this one. Looking forward to the rest...actually getting quite impatient!

God Tom, give me a break - I have a job and a sort of a life, too many evenings on the laptop surfing EPZ makes me a very sober girl!!! I'll try tonight. :0)

I like this one, glad there are other people who like bastact photos are are happy to lose all dignity going round taking photos of stairs and walls. The shadow is fine for me Jane

Love the simple composition of this shot...very effective. And thanks for your comments on my pics...our profile descriptions seem to be quite similar...aussies living in the Uk...lots of travel...Hooray!

Don't do anything with the shadow, it actually adds to this shot, I like it, well seen, nice image.
