Our exchange of PMs today has caused me to look through your PF Ellie. How insightful your photography is - I must pay more attention in future.

I really like the interesting way in which you see your world and then your translation into your images. Refreshing indeed. A very interesting PF with some wonderful images.

What a thought provoking PF of naturalness. You make everyday things, surroundings, objects etc. look just that little bit extra special.
Thankyou for bringing this to our attention.

I have only recently noticed your Portfolio and I am kicking myself for missing out on such innovative photography. I particularly like the candid street and city shots you do. This is an area I wish to explore but some of our city centres can be hostile, so a very cautious approach is necessary and I am currently looking for a high quality compact to use for this as I find the DSLR can be a bit obtrusive at times.
I think you were very lucky to have the film set opportunity and the German soldier with the Canon Dslr camera was so amusing!
Some of the shots are so colourful and thought provoking.

On our North Yorkshire Moors Railway (steam)they have a 'War weekend' when each one of three railway stations are given over to the English,German and American forces. Everyone gets dressed up much the same as a film set and all the shops , staff and towns take part, it is a fantastic photo experience .
Best Wishes, look forward to more of your images,

Just had a look at your pf and realise I've commented on a few of your images. Really love your work especially your later stuff with shadows, silhouettes and street scenes. Love your way of seeing and your composition style. Now that I've cemented your name in my mind I'll keep an eye out for you. (would be easier to get an e2 membership and use the favourites application than try to rely on my unreliable memory!!!)

Hi Ali

Enjoyed looking through your images very much indeed. You have a distinctive style which permeates all your images be it a landscape or a figure on a roof, and this is a good thing. The elements that make up your scenes are often minimal and very 'considered' and the quality of light is always first class. You have a natural eye for this. It creates some lovely clean images, good to look at.

Good stuff, I like it, Dave B.

Wonderful portfolio. I enjoyed looking. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards

Your development is impressive. In my opinion you are in the most exponential moment of the learning curve. You are developing a very good criticism view. Just try to remember that a picture doesn't need to perfect on both exposition or focus to be good. Check some picture from the world press photo contest.
