Sorry not to have been around for a while, Had visitors, then had to go visiting. But hopefully things have settled down and I will get out and about more wth my cameraSmileSmile.

I am not up on bugs and the likes (certainly not in Mississippi) but this little inch long "Dragonfly" was flitting between the dead heads on a Lantana bush in my garden. For some reason ignored all the pretty flowers.

This is the smallest dragonfly found in the Eastern hemisphere---the Amberwing---you are correct about 1 inch, often mistaken for wasps---- I saw some in a pond in Rhode Island--- -- A great image of this tiny fly!
