Goldenwing

By ElmsArt
Sorry not to have been around for a while, Had visitors, then had to go visiting. But hopefully things have settled down and I will get out and about more wth my cameraSmileSmile.

I am not up on bugs and the likes (certainly not in Mississippi) but this little inch long "Dragonfly" was flitting between the dead heads on a Lantana bush in my garden. For some reason ignored all the pretty flowers.

Thank y'all for your votes and comments on my photos. They are all very welcome.

Jackie

This is the smallest dragonfly found in the Eastern hemisphere---the Amberwing---you are correct about 1 inch, often mistaken for wasps---- I saw some in a pond in Rhode Island--- -- A great image of this tiny fly!
