If you have never seen terrier racing and you get a chance do go. Knocks the spots off Greyhound racing. Cracking shot.

They're sooo fast! It was a good test of the kit! Quite a few squabbles at the end of the races too!

I have never watched that before... lol
Lucky would enjoy it!

PS: Might be better to crop the leg off. And I think higher shutter speed is needed for it.

Wonderful shot, love it, brings back memories of when our kennels also did terrier racing, loads of fun.

Tend to agree about the leg, a bit distracting.

Thank you. I went for this shutter speed as it was a typical British summers day...wet and very dark. I could have bumped up the iso but deceided to keep things as is to have abit of movement. Most of what I do requires pin sharp and frozen so its nice to relax a touch! The leg belongs to the 'lure' waffter! I couldn't ask him to move as the ally they were running down was too narrow.

We watched it once with our whippets, who were going mad, as they are all racing dogs. The chap who was organising it let them run with the terriers, it was so funny, with the terriers running under the whippets to snatch the lure from them.
