My Mate Ben

By ringyneck
One undying memory of this year will be the "friendship" I have made with a Guy and his 2 dogs.
We meet up a few times each week at "my" field, when I am on my way to a few hours waiting for the Kingfishers. This one is Ben and once he knew where I sat amongst the undergrowth every time they went around the field he and his mate (a Husky) stopped off to muzzle up to me and then jump in the pool in the stream. As some times I would be miles away with headphones on it was quite a shock.
One occasion I moved to the other side of the pool and he spotted me and jumped in but could not get up to me and just stood in the pool crying........nearly started me off as well.

What a beautiful animal. I like them both for different reasons.
V1 has a lonesome feel, like he's waiting for someone.
V2 is a come hither look, let's go play.
Happy Birthday...

Two stunning shots Keith! I love them both and agree with Joline's description of the mood of each one. I think V2 just has the edge for me but it's a tough call. I'd bet your friend would be delighted to have prints of these two - I would if it were my dog Smile. Happy Birthday Smile.
