Great detail and DoF. The one thing I might change if I were taking the photo and I was able to move position is get a little bit lower to give a more personal feel to image (but that's just my idea). Nice portrait.

I really like the crop on this one. I like the B&W conversion and the detail on the fluff. Your choice of DOF is great and the background is not distracting. I like this a lot.

I like the mod. I agree with the adding of canvas and the cropping. I think that the light is a little harsh but good as it shows the feather detail well. Detail on the eyes and feathers is spot on. Nice work.

Wonderful image. I like the B&W conversion and the film grain filter. I think that the way you have 'tweaked' this image in post production is excellent. I like the composition and the silhouette of the castle is really good.

I love this image!! I think that the pano crop is spot on, the lighting is brilliant, the pose of the dog is wonderful too. It has crossed my mind though that your daughter (I assume) is quite close to the edge of the frame, have you considered perhaps adding a little bit of canvas (that's just my opinion though)? I really do like this image.

Beautiful image and the pose is spot on. I like the framing in this shot. The sharpness is superb even with an 80th of a second shutter speed. Have you run any noise reduction on the background - I noticed that you were using ISO 800?

Thank you Derek, Jude, Willie, Paul and Sue. To be honest, I have no idea how I managed to get a weird looking DoF - I will have a look at cropping out that area.

Willie, I used a monopod to try to capture the Owl in flight. I find that the ISO above 640 on my camera is awful so I tried not to go higher but I totally understand what you mean as the other images that i took that evening were showing motion blur. I use continuous focus just about all the time for the reasons that you say.

Sue, I think that the area in focus was under the bird but the bird was a little far away to be sure.

Great B&W conversion and composition. I like the inclusion of the Gulls and the timing to get the wave crashing down is excellent.

I like your use of turning your camera to portrait mode. The background is also a nice blurred background. You could try a slightly more photogenic perch perhaps but it is a very good portrait shot.
