Threading the needle

By Emrys
Taken at Castle Acre Priory this afternoon, it's a shot looking over a wall, under an arch and through a doorway to a barred window.

Any suggestions as to how I could adjust the original to emphasise the division between the first wall and the archway without losing detail elsewhere?

Have you tried it in B&W that might be easier to manipulate the differences.

I've tried B&W but still can't seem to get a clear division on the left hand side of the photo. I suspect that the real problem is my not really knowing how to manipulate images properly!
