Its the knee, and the boot, sorry but I'm too drawn to them... would be an absolute winner for me otherwise... lighting and expression have any more variations?

I have loads but this was my fave Smile

The knee/leg was used to provide her "modesty" (i.e. cover)

I quite liked the lighting here though. Thanks for the constructive comment though. Everything helps

ok, that is interesting. I was drawn immediately to the face, the amazing expression and the superb lighting...then I read 'knee' and 'boot'. Hmmm. Not sure. Well, I love it.

you see I'm torn, and like Nick I am drawn to the face but the pull of the knee especially is giving me grief and it shouldn't and I'm wondering whether it is because the crop is too tight on the lower edge, not enough of the boot to give justification for the leg placement aesthetically speaking. However saying that if you take a slice of the top the balance is better, making the cropping of the bottom a bit more justified?

I could have cropped it that way, but if I make POTW I want my moneys worth... lol... just kidding

Most of the bottom left was in shadow so didn't add anything. Plus the lower crop completely wasn't 'modest' so I cropped most of this shot 'in camera'. I wanted the shot to be about the expression and the feeling that was being portrayed.

With hindsight I should have maybe dropped the knee a little bit which would have gotten rid of the boots.

This is great feedback by the way. Really appreciated. Smile

Edit: Oh. I just realised. I liked the way the wrist drops off too, and cropping that would have taken away the relaxed pose the model did.

Kind of agree with the comment about the knee and the boot above, but I don't think it distract too much or disturb the balance of the picture. It's a fine photography, the model is gorgeous and the texture of the b/g is good as well.

Love it! Great contrast between the smooth skin and the rough texture from the bricks! Get tones and good lighting!
