Over the hedge

By Ericsamson
A colour film photograph of the farm buildings which featured in yesterday's Film Friday upload. Once again the camera is an Olympus OM1 and the image has had a cheeky tweak in Affinity. I've had a bit of tinker with the 'denoise' * slider in a bid to reduce the 'plague of locusts effect' in yesterday's image! I hope it makes for a reasonably happy marriage of analogue and digital but will act on advice if you feel that an appointment with 'Relate' might help. Blush Wink

Many thanks for the generous responses to 'Shades of grey ...' and wishing everyone a good weekend.

All the best, G. SmileSmileSmile

* The spell checker was not happy with this and insisted on 'Denise'. If the spell checker isn't called Pike it should be!

I was sitting there reading "denoise" (just had to change that back from Denise!) in my best French accent ... "denwarz" ... wondering what it meant ...
And then finally got it ... "dee - noise"! Get rid of the noise. Shoot the locusts.
OK ... all clear now.
Is that Gwendoline in the window of the middle building? ... I'm missing her!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A wonderful and timeless rural scene, Graham.
Very well tweeked and tinkered with to enable the Digilogue(or, is it analtal - better not go there!!BlushBlushBlush) marriage to be a long and happy partenership!SmileSmile

There's no disguising that semi-circular gap in the top of the hedge, caused by you taking one for the team as you dived over it to avoid detection. Your fellow members of the Farmyard Twitching Club (ducks and geese a speciality) were grateful for your diversionary tactics.

Nicely tinkered young Graham. It occurred to me that the digital removal of noise, denoising (demonising according to the dreaded smell chucker) should have an analogue equivalent. As it is specifically designed to remove 'plagues of locusts' from digitized photomographical imagery, I'd suggest the term 'debugging' be used.Smile
That's what happens at 2am, shortly after a celery and hummus snacket.

Great view point, Graham.
It has a touch of the 'being there' quality to it. (Which, of course, you were.)
