False Widow Spider V Wasp

By simmo73
Good afternoon everyone,
Many apologies for not commenting on site lately, have been busy on a garden project etc. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who commented, voted and awarded my
Greenbottle images.(all U/As contacted) I will try and catch up with you all. Today I have some images taken in my garden of a
False Widow spider (Steatoda nobilis) It had taken on a wasp that had got caught in its web material, and won the battle. Well we all have to eat! Not the most pleasant of material but thought you might be interested to see this in progress.
Hope you are all well and getting over the recent very sad news.
Best viewed large.
Geoff

Project in the garden? I think it's more likely that Mr Attenborough has called you up to do a spot of togging for him! Sorry to have missed your greenbottles but we have been preoccupied but the Bournemouth Air Festival ... first time in four years. Some very nice views of the I of W from Bournemouth pier!
Well, I'm afraid you're just going to have to make room for another gong on the shelf! 🙂🏆

You should have hopped on the ferry and come over for the day, I would have picked you up!
Did you go to the tank museum?

Almost missed seeing this, as listing 'Following Photographs' only shows the latest upload, and I wasn't on EPZ when this was uploaded! 😲 An excellent sequence of images, Geoff 👍🏻👍🏻
