The last time I saw the Flying Scotsman 'in the flesh' was back in August 2009, when it was all in bits in the National Railway Museum, York, on looking through my images! 😬 it's a nice little railway station in Swanage, and there was a steam loco parked up when I was there.
A very well composed and captured image here, Diane, with the bonus of lots of luvverly smoke!! 😃👍🏻 Just begs for my Award 🏆

What they all said!
Glorious! You'll be needing a new tin of Brasso at this rate ... 🤣 ... 🏆
PS The mono treatment works beautifully ... but it would be nice to see the colour version some time ... if possible ... with apologies to that nice Mr Slaty Bluemac ... 😉

Super shot of this locomotive at work, and a nice period feel to the image. plus I'm a sucker for steam loco photos!
More years ago than I care to calculate I cycled 20 miles and back to see this engine then preserved with its original number 4472 and in the old 1920/30's LNER livery of apple green, saw it for no more than 15 seconds!
