I sympathise with your predicament, and hope that recovery from the mighty Ovaltine is soon forthcoming.
Meanwhile, many congratulations on achieving the Golden Groan of the Day award.
I'd be lion if I said it got me roaring with laughter.
I too have an image taken at this very same hostelry, or rather, the public toilet connected to the premises...that will soon be the subject of a Silly Sunday upload.

I hope you're not lion about that medication, and it's not whisky rather than Ovaltine... 😉 Though it was way back in 2004 when I was here, I remember this pub well, and went in for lunch and some liquid refreshment 🍴🍺😋 It really is a magnificent building, what I call 'proper' pub 👍 Have to go for the version, it's a cracking shot, Graham 😀

First of all I'd like to thank Malc for the Golden Groan of the Day Award. I am humbled beyond words and .... (goes on - and on - and on - in like manner for another 2 hours.)
Second my thanks to all who have picked up the baton of idiocy and run with it so vigorously. A pun my word, what a treat!
Finally, I had no idea that ‘The Lion King’ was back in vogue. (I'm not good with musical theatre; I was taken to see 'The Sound of Music' when I was about eight or nine years old and I believe it has scarred - and scared - me for life. Even at that age I was consumed with delight at the thought of a song that went, 'How do you solve a problem like diarrhoea?’ Ghastly little oik !
)
However, always alert to a commercial opportunity I wonder if ……… ?

You were not kidding about your postings groanability our kid, but it has grown on me, being suckered in by your delightfully quirky narrative - again. It is indeed a fabulous richly decorated frontage beautifully rendered for all to see in glorious technicolour 2D by way of your keen eye and your most fine capture machine with perhaps some smoke, but definitely no mirrors.

Line King? I can only assume you're not feeling well Graham
I know i'm a day late responding, i thought i'd wait till the Ovaltine
hangover had passed and you had returned to this dimension.
So you saw 'The Sound of Music' when you were about eight or nine years old.
I had suspected for some time that you were indeed the fabled Doctor.
Doctor Who? i hear you ask..Exactly.
You'll be pleased to learn that I found your Time machine. it's at the Avencroft Museum.
If none of that makes sense, take a couple of dried frog pills and have a lie down. I'm going to.
Nice tiles in the Version.
Dave.
