2011 - The Beach

By Esge
Maryport, Cumbria. Taken as a 2 day photo trek. I wanted to capture the feel of the area and this is a part that many don't see. It emphasises a point that's quite important to me - the consequential action of modern humanity. Tripod - ND Filters and a tad of off-camera flash to fill in the shadows. Processed with CS5 and converted with Silver Efex Pro. Non-destructive dodging and burning, especially around the trolley and burned the surrounding shadows and cloud.

Super photography and an image with a message to boot. I like the use of "traditional landscape skills" for this too as that just adds to the strength of the point being made.
