Tis good to sit on the golden seat , to contemplate the starlings flock.Running winds through your mind and walking from the light.
Paint yourself a picture , tis a good listen....
Da little bit of music goes
That many birds could gieone a nightmare!
Do I get the Norwegian thing here, or am I reading too much into it?? either way disturbing and sinister, beautifully executed..
Well executed. So scary!
Makes me want to sit and write a story about this picture. So much to see and think about...and thats before I've listened to the music
The light throught the image is fabulous edvardiscera. I think there is a concerted approach to dismiss anything that isn't straight out of the camera.
So beautiful and moving. Light and tones stupendous - love the uncluttered comp though there are plenty of elements - it could mean so much to so many, in so many ways...and...the music is awesome - my very favorite track from the album
Good evenin !
Ta for those passed by the image , twas created intent to these lyrics by Sixx am (the link)
More of an instrospection really , better at night.
Paint yourself a picture of what you wish you looked like
Maybe then they just might feel a ounce of your pain
Come into focus step out of the shadows it's a losing battle
There's no need to be ashamed
Cause they don't even know you all they see is scars
They don't see the angel living in your heart
Let them find the real you buried deep within
Let them know with all you've got that you are not your skin
And when they start to judge you show them your true colors
And do one to others as you've done to you just rise above this
Kill them with your kindness ignorers is blindness
They're the ones that stands to lose

But hey ho , Ill go and shoot a tree trunk and get loads of votes.
Ill post the original Scara , Its how I wanted the scene to end up .
thanks for posting the original, It is good to see how you begin your journey to reach this amazing artwork
oh yes Dave,
this image in enhanced so much by the words,
its a bit like having a poem explained to you first,
and then listening to the poem,
i sometimes read My poems to public,
and always tell the story first,
then the meaning is clear,
and like this image i could not understand it at all,
but with the words it becomes so poignant,
art to make you think,
and cry a little
Opens a vault of questions!
Bursting with pain.... Art that grips your heart!!!
Ha. That's amazing.
Well if you ever give up digital art then I daresay you could make a decent living from shed renovation Dave. Love the vibrancy of the colours, the symbolism and especially all those birds. Not personally overkeen on the overt fractaliusness but hey-ho that's a personal thing. How did the tree-trunk shooting session go
Real glad this stimulated your quiescent curiosity Mr U , you have been hiding in the murky Brummie shadows a while !
Tree trunk session went well, though the models looked a little stiff.
Twas designed to stimulate some thoughts in a darkroom..
Quote: you have been hiding in the murky Brummie shadows a while
Nah, just lacking any crumb of inspiration Dave. My poor old camera thinks I've fallen out with it. I'm thinking of going into the shed renovation business.
Well Ive got some great paint if ya wanna borrow a tin !
Best thing is to take your poor old camera out for a lovely candlelit dinner , surf and turf , after the prawn cocktail starters and woo it by changing it back to the auto green button mode it came with and spending the evening talking about her spots and your enormous apertures
Get posting Mr U , tis a barren place without.
Just pulled up in your drive....brought my spare white one peice suit with straps....coffee got cold on the way,so sorry to say....do you have a little heater in the shed and a few of those mags and we could have a read...suggest you buy another brollie as it may rain and you seem to be suffering with a strange cold...see you had one of those fake chainsawas for your birthday...take it back..there is no arm in trying for a refund now is there.....do you want the number for a accidental no win no fee lawyer?
You is a heathen like Mr U Molliedoggystyle
No idea why this isn't very popular an image it goes well with de vibe .
Have a super safe weekend !
Scary... Glad to have seen the original... Good work. IB
A banjo leaning against the shed would have been a nice touch, opened the shed window ?.As usual good work ,like the head and the lyrics. Before and after is good.
A bloody banjo !
Guess its not coming over as meant.
I watch the starlings , from my seat , and i hear them call lets fly as we have a hard winter on the way, nice work
How am I expected to sleep with bedtime stories like this in my head, the music soothes as he sleep walks armlessly around the garden and I'm counting birds instead of sheep tonight
PS Is that my lost umbrella heaven bound?
The thinking mans poet ye are Dave..pure emotion...It does hurt...
Thanks Bernie , mission accomplished ...
I can now zonk off into oblivion for a while !
Yes Fran x
wow.. love to that you showed where your inspiration came from .. amazing work
love the swirly light trails, is that a texture overlay? very pretty image.
This has more than just a passing resemblances to Edvard Munch's scream.
This is reet gud cocker
I just looked at both versions and much prefer what you have done with version one,it brings it totally to life in the way only you can. It's like it's been influenced by Munch/Mattisse and also also has the art and heart that only you can bring to the story that always comes with your work. The person looks as though they are sleepwalking almost through life and the starling give that haunting look to the work that shoals of starlings do as they waft about.Love the effect and the music is perfect.Ann
Like it Dave, like a psychotic man's wet dream. Original.
Thanks for hearing it Ann x
Te he a hillbillys wet dream this..um good comp.
