Quite beautiful Dave. The serenity of the scene flows over the viewer as easy as water. It reminds me strongly of work in the style of Dali; and its an image that I'd be happy to have on my wall (I don't say that about many).

Anyways , its drained my head , have a great weekend.

this is the last verse of a beautiful poem
called i am

I long for scenes where man has never trod;
A place where woman never smil'd or wept;
There to abide with my creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept:
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie;
The grass below--above the vaulted sky.

John Clare
this is what this lovely image reminds me of

Hi Dave,

What an amazing image, so powerful bit with that element of calm. The image alone makes such a statement of life but with the addition of music helps to explore a deeper meaning.

take care Dave x

excellent additions. There is perhaps a touch more Dali behind this, with the prospect of drawing out a lot more.

for Ann and Dave

the whole poem

I Am by John Clare,
is very beautiful,

the poem is about when
he was taken to a metal hospital,

he certainly wouldnt be there today as he suffering
(from depression probably)

and twice went home help by the gypsies,
his life story is fascinating,

he lived just near me at Helpston
and was called the peasant poet

as he had little formal education
and the poem is about that

and the above is the last verse.

he longs for peace

I've looked at this many a time Dave and just never got round to commenting for some reason.

This one seems to have drained your creative spark as you've done nowt for nigh on three weeks now. It is indeed a thing of beauty though ..... wonderful background and a fine bit of symbolism betwixt foetus and tree. With my purist hat on I'd suggest that the compositon would be a lot stronger with the tree over to the left a touch and the foetus over to the right. More balance that way but I daresay less symbolism.

Evenin ! ,

Can see your purist point , but then the oh so subtle ash falling from the sky onto the improbable shelter of the tree for the exposed would have no top down relevance. Duuh Smile

Thats why it was aligned...
