This is excellent I have tried to shot these flowers but I have not managed it yet can't wait to get the macro next month if this is the result, the DOF is fantasticSmile

Good shot. It's darker than I would have made it, if it had been my shot, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how well that seems to work.

I've been looking at that same lens, for when I get my own DSLR in a few months. How do you like it?

i am not sure if i agree about it being too dark, maybe its different monitors....

conrad, yep i got the 50mm 1.8 from 7dayshop for 55 or summit close... Can't knock it! its a great lens for the money and the DOF is great, infact @ 1.8 it was too shallow for this shot hence the increase to 3.2!!!

Excellent Edd... so rich in colour. Not too dark in my book. Has loads of impact whilst being delicate...

top left petal is hanging out of focus, but the rest looks good. 50mm is a gem isnt it?
