A quick view of Farne's recent activity.

Excellent shot! I like the dof which has the beak and eye on the right (its left eye) in sharp focus and the eye on the left (its right eye) just slightly shading from sharp focus. It emphasises the turning effect. Well done! Regards, David

Thanks for the encouragement Dave, Jeanette Louise, Steve and Alexa. I guess it's not the most delicate duck in the world! David

That is an excellent shot. Blurred wings, purposeful eyes and determined focus. That branch is bothersome, but perhaps if you blurred it just a little so that it is just out of focus (slight Gaussian blur - less blurred than the background) you would get an image indicating depth and a little more movement. I would not remove it from the image because it would leave the image too bland. Hope this helps! Regards, David

Thanks, Phil, Tony and John. It was a great day. BTW Tony the Meadow Pippit's pose is very similar to that of the one you took!

A really pleasing photo. The colours are soft and gentle. What exposure did you use, other than looooong!?

This is superb. The dof and lighting are great and emphasise the crinoline effect of the petals on the dark background. The frame is just the right colour too! Well done. David.

Peter, your work is great - very challenging. Your eye for colour and for an interesting picture is excellent. Thanks, for the chance to look. I too have lived in the North West and know how rainy and forlorn it can sometimes be. Therefore, all the more exciting to see your range of production. David

Some excellent photos in your PF. Really enjoyed looking at them. My grand daughter is into horses (age 12!) and I enjoy photographing her events. Thanks for your encouragement on Farne. dh
