Early Riser

By FatHandedChap
This was the first in the sequence from my trip down the beach at the end of last year. I'm lucky to have some great beaches with in a few minutes drive of home, but rarely get the chance to get down there for sunrise.

This one seems more peaceful in the pre-dawn light than others in the sequence when the sun was a bit higher. I also like the tiny moon adding a little bit more to the shot.

I think this has a lovly feeling of peace and tranquility, as well as beautiful light on the water and colour. Keeping the horizon toward the bottom of the frame seems to increase the feeling of space and solitude.
