V1 for me too - definitely the fern adds to the composition.
Don't know whether to crop the blurred trees, leaving just the lower barks are enough.
I feel that the fern and the blurred leaves draw me both ways.
A wonderful image nonetheless.

Can't wait for more of your seascapes but these are excellent too! V1 has the in-your-face impact of graphically shaped FG interest and contrasting colour which breaks up the sea of bells. The vector of the fern helps guide one's gaze into the distance too. I like the swaying of the branches (dynamic and ethereal) and it would be great to have even more but I guess then you risk the FG moving too. V2 has the strong lead in but loses out on FG impact. The fern is such a feature I didn't notice the blurred leaves at first. v2 is a good standard shot but v1 has that bit (2 bits actually) extra GrinGrin

A fabulous pair of images Jeremy. V2 is very skilfully done, but the fern in v1 takes the day mate.
