Residents of Happisburgh throw everything they have into the coastal defences but its disappearing very quickly...used a lee .6 hard grad filter.Thank you for the great response to the last upload
You could say a shame about what people throw away, however on this occasion I think it actually adds to the shot. I love the gentle hint of colour in the sky
Sit and watch it disintegrate Jeremy
Thanks Mike,it was on its way out with the tide so i unfolded it one last time
You wouldnt have to hang around long Ron its disappearing very quickly
You've made that ugly old chair look rather beautiful in its surroundings. Beautiful delicate colour in the sky - love it all!
Great view and the deck chair helps with your cracking image.
Love this image, well done, yes the chair adds to this spectacular scene, beautiful colours
Maybe it was King Canutes chair he used while trying to hold back the tide???
Very clever and funny
Very nice job of taking someones trash and making a beautiful picture for all of us to enjoy.
Did you get your feet wet? Great shot Jeremy, bugger the chair, all that movement in th wash is what steals the scene... Marvellous
Lol thanks Mark ,wasn't wet at that point but about 10 minutes later I was soaked to the top of my thighs kit was ok though thank fudge but I didn't have a spare pair or trousers so was a bit of a damp drive home
A composition which has left be somewhat speechless which does not happen to much.
Brilliant, extremely imaginative and so very well done
Look what happens if you fall asleep on a deckchair in front of an incoming tide... It's suspiciously upright but hey, folk accuse me of arranging my FG rocks! It's a great feature in the FG and the weathering of the chair coupled with the surf lines creates a potent statement about the passage of time and universal entropy, made even bolder by mans sea defences which are failing to defer the erosion. The grey colour palette enhances the ominous message. Cleverly done indeed.
Thanks everyone for the great feedback
A beautiful image to start with but the old deck chair lets our imagination wander and wonder.
The outstretched arms of the chair seem to be telling us something of it's owner.
What a brilliant shot Jeremy. The abandoned deck chair is both humorous and poignant at the same time. The muted color palette and rather flat light enhance the mood.
Outstanding for all the reasons already noted.
Stunning image,very well done,
One of my very fave places to be..a different take to highlight the sense of desolation
Very moody and well taken
