Blimey, 4.35 a.m.?? Getting up and out at that time deserves an extra vote of it's own! I really like the way the warm light from the rising sun has gently painted the water in places, mixing with the bluer tones of the sea. The strong central line of the groyne leads the eye through to the distant buoy and that wonderful dawn sky. If you were standing on the groyne, did you have to take this handheld? Either way, it's come out really well Smile

Thanks all, hi Anna the tripod feet were all balanced on one groyne whilst i wavered on the plankSmile could have been a damp start but the water on the left was only a foot or so deep

Sometimes the simplest images are the best - as here - but obviously not a simple operation taking the image!

i love this shot, can I ask what filters you used or did you correct the exposure off camera in Photoshop or like?
