Meadow Pipit or not

By fcast
Spotted this little fella on Holy Island today, i know it looks like a Meadow Pipit but it just seemed so small
its hard to tell from the photo but it just seemed about the size of a robin
I'm sure all the experts on here will know and it will be a Meadow Pipit but I'm faily new to all this
so feel free to help me out
ps it was just up from the shore when i took photo and when it flew off it went down in the grassy sand dunes

What a capture Frank!! ITS A STUNNER!! You nailed this one for sure!! Excellent work!!

Id is a bit more difficult!! When I first saw it I thought Tree Pipit but I am not sure( or clever enough)!! It has a strong bill and short claws on the feet, characteristic of a tree pipit but I would need to see more of the bird and its habits when you spotted it!! However Great find and super image!!

Thanks for the comments, as far as the birds habits Bill it was just short little jerky flight's between boulders shrubs and an odd old branch
like where i got it, i got a few other photo's but none show any more detail it was always facing towards me so no chance of getting a
shot of it's wings or tail, to show how small it was i had to manually focus, the auto just wouldn't pick it up
anyway thanks for the comments it makes it worth while when you get a good photo and people appreciate it
