Hooded Pitta

By FeatherFriend
These shots show this very small colorful bird in the process of nest building. He amused me for several hours whilst I watched him, and I felt that the images might amuse some of you too.
A brief description:
The Hooded Pitta, (Pitta sordida), is a passerine bird. It is common in eastern and southeastern Asia and the Malay Archipelago, where it lives in different types of forests as well as on plantations and other cultivated areas.
1: What a mouthful!
2: Another mouthful
3: Rear view
4: It's a wonder he could see the nest with this lot in his beak
5: My favourite, 'The Dagger', goodness knows what he did with this.
Thank you all for your votes and lovely comments on Mr & Mrs, It's very kind of you all to take the time to view, and I appreciate your support so much.
I am away for 2 weeks from this Sunday, but will do my best to click around as much as possible before I go.

These are so colourful and comical. For some reason, I like V3, even though the head is not visible, there is something so appealing about it.
