Great detail and the wing fan effect is amazing! Well worth all the work you had to get this.

Don't see how you managed a sharp shot of this Bird in flight with 1/250th without a flash, in fact those settings suggest you did use a flash, however your data suggests no flash.

By the way a great shot.

Ian exif will not show flash as I use full manual flashes with triggers. For this shot two flashes where used at 128th power about 5 inches from the subject, (2 catch lights in the eyes), and I used my old Tamron 90mm macro manual focus lens (just ebayed that one) for this on rather than my siggy 120-300mm.

Hope the above clears some things up.

Beautifully rendered study....landing flare, or sharp turn I guess...
