Bellows in the Woods

By Fefe
Morning all.......
Now then, something in total contrast to my last upload.......and I am very nervousTongueTongueTongue
Like I said before, we went to Chatsworth last weekend, I wanted to get some Autumn images, as the light started to fail and the shutter speed lengthened, I realised it was a great time to try some ICM (intentional camera movement)...I think that is the correct termTongueBlush
This has been processed in Lightroom, mono conversion and filters added to top and bottom.........
Hope it doesn't get shot down in flamesWink......I know this wont be everyone taste........Struggled with the title, but while here in Chatsworth the rutting stags were making a reight dinWinkGrinGrin

A great big thankyou to all for C&C (and some very helpful hints) on my portrait of "Charlotte" and a special thankyou to Peter "ddolfelin" for his lovely UAGrinGrinGrin

Spooky! Just right for tomorrow, Diane.
I'm a firm supporter of experimentation.

Perhaps trim your fringe for next time? Wink

Very effective. I like the way the ground-level view is relatively normal, it gets progressively weirder as you look up!

Always good to experiment, Diane. You get a sort of sound/movement effect with the way you have done this, or even heavy rain? Whichever, I really like it. Like the Christopher Robin song goes "If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise"... as in this image. Keep 'em coming!

I would be dancing if I get something like this..

at first, I used to think ICM is International Camera Movement.. maybe a society of photographers.. who are also expert in camera-shake images, or camera-shake is one chapter of International Camera Movement.. Grin

the image is a medium through which our own thoughts settle.. and such images often present such cases.. the more the varied elements in the image - shapes, drama, variation and direction of light, colors, contrast, textures - the more wide it can be and in a way present more variety and range of interpretations.. and in that, this image is clearly successful.. (everyone will describe it differently - their description can range from 'shaken forest' to 'dark fantasies'..

but what did I see here?

Ultimately, I have come down to fancy the fingers of a small child rubbing its fingers on a big white canvas and in turn creating this..
or simply, again, I see light and mist in the morning, and some illuminated space and I walk towards it..

Oh Diane! this is a wall hanger, and so apt given the spooky season being upon us. Initially I thought you had put it through some filters etc, which I don't always like, but this, it really is to die for. Put those nerves away and save them for another day because this is just spectacular.

If 'spooky' was the object of the exercise you've achieved it so well.

Dunno why you were nervous ... this is fabulous Grin I think the title's great too, as the threatening solitude of the image makes me think of shouting out in a deep, dark wood, hoping to hear the sound of another human being ... and hearing nothing but echoed silence instead Smile

Superbly atmospheric and definitely something I'd put on a wall.
