    Wooooow !!!! :-O Grin
thanks a lot friends for the wonderful comments and critiques.
I learned a lot from your opinions.
FYI the dish is called 'Motichoor ke laddo' [dough of gram flour deep fried in the form of droplets; dipped in to sugar syrup, mixed with dry fruits and finally made into balls(laddo)]

I seriously agree with the 'underexposure' issue.
Could never have ignored the smoke(i feel its the best part).
I also agree that I hesitated a lot in using curves and pumping up saturation and contrast.

Thank you all once again for your valuable comments.

@Rahul - it might be because of the chromatic aberration of this poor lens 75-300mm. Sad

    Hi everyone,
    I bought one recently.
I realized that it is taking too long to store the RAW images.
The viewfinder goes blank after presing shutter release and the access light (near card slot) keeps glowing.
Sometimes it takes as long as 5 seconds. I don't know wether its Rebel's actual speed or some issue with my camera only.
1000D users, please share your opinions.

    Hi Matt,
Please let us know, how good it is in terms of metering/white balance as compared to Nikon D60 and Canon 1000D?
