In the Flesh

I took this at least a couple of years ago. It's a self-portrait, though I think the pose was a touch over-acted... though I wasn't really going for any particular look. It reminds me a bit of a zombie, but my PS skills aren't good enough to really follow through with it. I stuck a few filters on there to bring out the cracked lips and tried to make me look malnourished or ravenous or something... anyway, critique is most certainly welcomed on this!

It's a fine portrait, well-lit, and I like the way you've filled the frame.
As for making this more zombie-like, tho' I can't imagine why you'd want to, I'm afraid I've no real suggestions - perhaps convert to mono, and ramp up the contrast/shadows ?

Maybe needs a tad of reflected light to the left hand side of your face to just give that little hint of detail in the shadow. Otherwise I think it is a cracking self portrait.
