Tradition

By Firedragon
I live in the middle of a Jewish community. Yesterday they had an annual ritual where they walk the new bible to the synagoge, so took an opportunity to grab some pics.

Hi Yvonne,
I initially took this shot to modify because I thought there was too much shadow among the people, so I lifted the shadows, and lessened the highlights, which one of the central characters was suffering from more than the others.
I started to enjoy the drama of the image more as I looked at it.
I dont ever take shots like this, so it was interesting for me to look at it more closely.
I also blurred the wall, fence and the greenery in the background, in order to hold the attention amoungst the people in the walk.
A very interesting image.

This is so good on so many levels. Maybe just clone out the sunspot on the little boy's face, (by his mouth?) Really love this. Great work. =)

Angie: I like the boy too. Thanks!

Andrew: Lifting the shadows does bring the image out more...thanks for the tip and the comments.

Carmen: Wow...this such a compliment from someone with your experience and talent. Thanks!
