More roses

By firehorse
All five roses, with a mirror and a vase. Might be too much going on in this picture, but I had fun setting it up Smile

ummmm mmmmm mmmmm .. Lovelyy.. I mean lovelly.. Someone might say "very busy composition" but I love it. why? Mirror with thin frame, above the black background... Then the way all the flowers gather.. against over all background.. Catch my attention from bulk of 14 other images..

LOVE IT, want more of them Smile

Thanks Munir, its definitely violating many of the rules. Doesn't seem to popular... Smile

I got another arrangement, which I may get a chance to post tonight.

Very welcome, You will read "rules are meant to be broken" on many pages here. (want me to give links?) After giving comments. I was staring at ur image and thought if distance will be bit more from the glass behind then it might clear the flowers more.. although I would love to use the samee as greeting card ..

When I orginally stared at it for a bit I realized that there is a bright orange extension code in the reflected mirror (as well as a home-made dimmer switch Smile.

Do you think the angle of the mirror/table looks funny? I "straighten" the image to make the left-hand mirror line straight, but because I was shooting off-center, that left the table line angled.

Maybe if I get a chance, I'll try again sometime this week.

I did noticed but then I thought you did it to try out differnet angles. as I myself shot dozans of shoot of an object. Smile Well going good..

I did the vase with the five roses with about 7 different shots, but I was really playing with the DOF and the lighting. I shot well over 120 images, but they were primarily one, two and three rose pictures without the vase (like the one I posted before this shot).

I started with the vase, but I figured that there was too much going on, so I just focused on getting close-up flower shots. Its was only afterwards that I though the vase shots might be of interest. I'm still going through that learning phase...

Yea, I was sick first, then I was shooting a wedding with a bunch of friends, then I've been processing the wedding shots. Hopefully I'll get back to posting soon...

Hi Munir,

If you're still waiting, I just posted another of the shots, this time with three roses. I got a bit distracted there with the abstracts...
