Well I think it looks great. Not really tried too much still life myself so I'm wondering why the right half of the pear is shaded the way it is - not saying it shouldn't be like that, just curious.
The detail and composition seem very good to me. Nice work Smile

I'd say it is a very nice 'try' Fizz!
I would have maybe tried to throw a little light back into the shadow area below the apple and sats, but it may well have spoilt the background transition, so i'll keep my trap shut!

Apart from the shadows being a little heavy (though it certainly has mood), the lighting is nice and soft. I can go with that however, it's just looking end on at the banana that I'm not keen on, something a little repositioning would improve.

I like it, nice tight composition and the fruit shows up well against the black background. Maybe it could have been a tad brighter, increasing brightness and contrast seems to 'lift' the image but it could all be down to monitor calibration. Good work.

I like this very much Fizz. I think Brian has a point though, by increasing the brightness slightly it helps improve the overall shadow range I think, but if you like it as it is, that's the main thing.
