Quite pleased. !

By fizz
Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) taken at the same time as my Dads photo.
Talk about bad timing it came while my Mun and I where trying to put up the tripod. So I ended up having to shoot handheld with a x2 converter on the 75 - 300mm lens at f11 1/90th sec, through the opening in the hide which isn't designed for little people like me.!!
It isn't as sharp as I would like it to be but I am rather pleased with it and so are my Mum and Dad.

It's a brilliant shot, well done. I like the fact you haven't tried to fill the entire frame with the Kingfisher, it makes it look classy!!

Count me in on that too Siobhan....Terry told me how you went about this, you did more than well under the circumstances.....all I got for sitting in that hide for 6 hours was a sore butt & a crick in the neck....those hides aren't made for big people either ;o))
Excellent work!!

Find it intimidating that one so young has such a keen grasp of photography! Bet you're sick of people saying that. I shall have to come back and visit more often to scare myself Smile

Pleased Siobhan!? If I had taken this I would have been thrilled to bits. Wonderful capture of a very shy and elusive little bird. Perfect DOF.
