Sleeping cat

By FloKl
First time out with my DSLR Smile

Walked by this cat sleeping on a wooden fence. Focus on the cat, background blurred - but I guess that's pretty obvious Wink

I haven't done any adjustments on Photoshop Elements because I simply don't know what would make this pic any better.

I'd appreciate it if some of you could give me tips and hints on how to make this pic better - the shooting and the camera-settings. Of course I'd also welcome ideas how to improve the pic with PSE.

Your settings are pretty much as I would use for this sort of shot....although I set my white balance manually.I would have set it at cloudy or shade for this. It could be improved with some processing, if you allow mods I will give it a goGrin

Sure, go ahead. Do I have to change any settings so you can work on it? If so, please let me know what to do. I could send you the .NEF if it's any help.

Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what you did afterwards. You know, trying to learn all this step by step Smile
