Foxglove

By flowerpower59
Many thanks to those who appreciated my soft cosmos. I am grateful.
This is another in camera double exposure with colour adjustment to remove the vivid greens of the original but with the subject flower left as it was (wish it wasn't quite so central). I like the soft pastel effect and the washiness of the background with just enough detail to be able to see there were more foxgloves.

The bg is pretty and suits your main subject Fiona.
I just wish more of the flower spike was in focus or totally the other way and much less in focus as, I see it here it is just the bottom third that you have focused on.
Being central doesn't bother me but you could use the crop tool to push it one way or another.

I tried a mod.
Extended the canvas, copied and pasted some of the pretty bg into the empty space and applied one of the 'vintage' effects in Nik, not sure it worked but, its different and puts the subject off centre.

Thanks Janet.
Thoughts..... I am quite happy for the flower to drift into softness as it goes up the stem. It's my new "thing"?!Wink I think it slips into the b/g which is ok by me. The mod is nice: extending the canvas is an idea, but I feel some of the detail of the adjacent OOF bloom has been lost. I guess there is no right or wrong, it's just whatever floats your boat! Smile

That's where I wasn't sure the mod worked, just lost that definition on the bg.
