  • Steller's Jay

    Thans to everyone for looking.

Quote:When I was in America I tried to get a good shot of one of these colourful birds but failed abysmally. glad to see you did so well. Charles.

I struggled too, most of the time, because they tend to stay in fairly dense woodland. This one obliged by perching in a sunny spot.

  • An evening at Kimmeridge

Thanks all. It was taken with a borrowed polariser, allowing me to see through the water to good effect.

  • Firing on all cylinders

Thanks. The reflection was what made me decide to upload it. Hadn't noticed it at the time...this was the only angle I could get reaching over the crowd standing on tiptoes.

  • Lensbaby series

I particularly like the footsteps image...simple but effective.

  • One Frosty Morning

Simple but effective. Even though the camera might have been level, the angle of the field and shadow under the tree is a little off-putting and I'm sure it would be more pleasing if rotated slightly.

  • Windermere

An interesting view. Certainly different from the usual lakes shots.

  • The Witches Pool

Nicely captured. Great detail in the rocks.

  • You've got some great shots here. I'll have to pop back often since it is unlikely I'll ever be able to visit these locations for real.
