Pretty pointless release. Another nice camera but it's hardly changed since the epl 7.

The 35mm equivalent thing really annoys me. So many reviews will say, like in this review, it's a 100-400 2.8-4 equivalent and it's only 650g , so considerably lighter than a full frame equivalent. It's not the same! The only thing that is the same is the field of view and the aperture. It doesn't take into about depth of field or compression. In full frame depth of field terms this would be 100-400 f5.6-8 which would be quite easy to make it small and light. As a full frame sensor is also about two steps better than mft the level of noise performance of the Panasonic would be about the same at the relative same apertures.

Much as I love ephotozine I'm beginning to get a bit frustrated with the camera reviews I've read recently. No mention again of the auto focus performance. I was really looking forward to seeing if this had been improved. Having said that I'll definitely be skipping this model. A real backwards step for the em10. Plastic body and less customisation. Small cameras are not just for beginners.

I'd have to agree on the new resolution test charts.the graph is meaningless without some frame of reference. Lens tip do it in a similar way but you at least get to know where the decency level is. It would be better on the new charts if you could perhaps superimpose the results for one against the other for comparison. The problem is that all older reviews don't use numerical values and therefore it's impossible to compare one to the other. Shame cos I do like the ephotozine lens reviews.

I'd love one of these. Great price and performance.
About time Nikon made something similar. The cheapest of the Nikon own branded ultra wide for dx is the 10-24 which is 650 new or the 12-24 which is over 8001. Almost makes me want to switch to Canon to get one of these. Nikon seems to have forgotten it's DX lens market for the last 2 years other than a couple of superzooms. About time they brought out some good dx lenses.
