An exhibit from Birkenhead's 'Tram Museum'

By Focus_Man
One of my regular trawls around the area came up with this.

Birkenhead has, amongst other things, a tram museum. If you are interested, it is worthwhile paying a visit,.

My only critique would be, to have tried to capture this beautiful vintage piece in a better less obtrusive spot, this eliminating the rather new structure to the left of the tram.

Good element and well exposed train.

Think as you wander about how a b.g image might suit other images where you have sharp subject matter.

This image has a rubbish background , but the train is nice , shoot some old railway sidings and combine the two . As you can replace skies , Im sure you can replace backgrounds.

Cant be arsed going into consistent aps and light source , but whacked a 20min mod to give you an idea. Didnt drop the brush opacity below 60% and would have used the pen tool if extracting for detail.

Quick mod whacked and put a brief tutorial on the website.

Thanks, very clever mod but not the sort of thing that I would find easy and then I do not tend to create unnatural shots such as that. I tend to picture things for what they are to be looked back on in many years to come .

Thanks for that and where on which website is the tutorial as I would love to know how you created it?

It's a beautiful tram, Frank, and you have the driver's attention.
In view of what you have said above, I have done a modification with a square crop which eliminated most of the new building, I just needed to clone out a bit of it from behind the tree.

Thank you Pamela, very nice, I think now that is what I need to do.
