To a mouse.

By foggytwo
My wireless mouse died on me and It was in need of some repair. During the repair,I thought of Robert Burns` poem "To a mouse" so I thought I would do my version.
I have changed some of the Scottish words to English.

Wee, sleeket,cowran,tim`rous mousey.
Your life expectancy sure now increases.
Now we can see what`s in your housey.
After being rebuilt from several pieces.
You are now looked on with much affection.
Back to life and so inspiring.
With new batteries in, for your connection.
With your mother board and lots of wiring.
Your clickers tested left and right.
Thoroughly cleaned with lemon peel.
You are now such a bonny sight.
Right down to your scroll wheel.
Much faith I have in you, old sport.
`Cause I know you are plug n` play.
Now heading for the U.S.B. port.
Where you`ll get pushed in, all the way.
Upon the screen the pointer sits.
With signals from your transmitter.
It`s certainly been a battle of wits.
But I knew you were no quitter.
The pointer glides across the monitor.
Making a host of wee beeping sounds.
I`m glad I did not buy you new.
As this repair has saved me pounds.
A sleeket, cowran, tim`rous mousey, no more.
You are back as good as new.
A wireless mousey once again.
And you proved to be tried and true.

Absolutely wonderful. I've given up trying to understand technology. I'll stick to Burns instead.

I always love your poems. I've never seen the guts of a mouse before, looks like it's in the operating theatre, glad the prognosis is positive.
