Beautiful rocks

By Footski
Another one from Ireland. Taken close to the cliffs of Moher in County Clare. The tide was out and the rocks were very slippery. I put the camera onto the rocks to capture the shot on a beautiful day.

Hi Barry. You dont often see a shot from this low down on the cliffs.

I just commented on your Dungarvan shot, and now this, and for both you need to upload your exif data, - i.e your shots settings. It helps us with critique. On the upload page, theres a link on the right marked more exif data, - click that. If the data doesnt show up, just include it in your description. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length and shooting mode.

The timing is good, as was the light. I think the white balance is too much in the cool range, and since its a sunny day, it should be warmer. Ive corrected this in the mod.

When you uploaded, you re size first. After you re size and save, and before you upload, open the shot again, check and adjust sharpness, save and upload. This needs more sharpness, and it possible you missed this step. Digital file compression causes detail loss.

Included tweaks to contrast as well as colour temp. View the mod large. Hope you like it.

Thanks very much for that. I think I did go wrong on the upload. The print I have is pin sharp. I will see what I can do with the Exif data.

Technically first ckass in most respects but to me they are just rocks. I think you need a subject of some sort, probably on the bottom left third to act as a locking point for a balanced composition.
