Mont Maroma from my garden

By Footski
A beautiful day with white clouds. I could not resist trying a panorama from my terrace. Three shots joined together and converted as I just did not feel the colour version worked as well.

More a skyscape. You prefer the mono and the sky sdoes make it quite strong, but I would need to see the colour original too. You are very lucky to have a view like this. I have a gas fired power station and a load of wind turbines!

You can take some pills for the wind Paul, the power station is more difficult! i also would like to see the colour for comparison, - not only just to see the colour, but to see how the conversion to mono transpired, and if different methods produce a better result. Even a worse result. if ou click the modifications tab, then upload a modification, you can select the colour version.

Thanks guys. I have added the original colour shot for you. I hope it helps.

We are very lucky to have this view. Moved down here 15 years ago and had the house built on the side of a hill opposite the mountain.

Thanks for the original upload Barry. My jealousy is completely out of control now.

I think both make really nice sky scapes. The colour version needs a little warming, looks blue overall, and with a little work on shadows and highlights it looks quite good I think, mod1.

I used this for a mono mod, - not unlike yours so for me one is as good as another really. The mono maight make more of the clouds, but the colour, ti could be argued, makes more of the view.

Mono is a straight mono conversion in CS6, with the clouds and sky only darkened a little

Yet again you show up my pp. I converted to B&W as I could do nothing with the shadowed area of the original. You have done it brilliantly.....I have much to learn.

Nce conversions, Willie. Not going to try and better that. Prefer the colour version now. I had too many years having to use mono, so when something is colourful, like to see it like that.
