oops! Did I miss summer?

My garden appears to be doing strange things! We have bushes in bud that should be finishing their summer blooms. This is a sunflower that forgot to come out in summer and is now making a very poor attempt at a late appearance! It is only a couple of inches diametre.
Due to a bad back and virus I've been out of it for a while but am beginning to get the bug for photography again!!
