Sun Tourism

By Francois Lepinay
Personally, I could never quite imagine spending an entire day getting a sun tan on a beach. But perhaps it is because I dont work too hard during the rest of the year Wink
The sociology of tourism in Nha Trang is interesting. 95% comes from Russia.

I also can't imagine lying out all day.
Too much to do every day.

I'd be bored out of my mind.
Our daughter considered herself a deprived child because she didn't get taken on beach holidays. But she never chooses them herself now...
Good social observation.

Your mention of Russia is interesting. The man lying with arms outstretched resembles the men who sunbathe standing against the walls of the Peter and Paul fortress on the Neva in St Petersburg - even in winter.
I can think of plenty of better things to do . . .
I am enjoying your social reportage.

Yes Bill, I think the russians are visually interesting, especially the ordinary ones (as opposed to the rich ones). like in Nha Trang. Example : big mother dressed like in conventional fifties style, and in front of her, half naked 16 years old lolita daughter. There is still this generation gap , weheas in the west, the mummies try to look like teenage daughters !
