Emily 2

By franfoto
As promised, another shot of Emily in that park again, and in that very bright sunlight which I worked with as best I could.
I have included a black and white version which I thought some of you may like.
I used the parasol (shown on the last photograph) to reflect some light back on to the model and to balance the strong back lighting.

Thanks for your comments and clicks on the last one and for looking in again today.

It's a nice pic with lovely lighting; only thing wrong is that Emily looks like she wants to be elsewhere.

The mono is most appealing--- her lip diamond is a tad distracting, but not for now--What a great model you have discovered!

Well captured, Fran, in the 'Princess Di' style! Shame she looks so bored, though. Carol

Beautiful capture - the mono is brilliant. Would just love to see her enjoying it though

I like the back lighting of her hair and her dress Fran and its a great setting . I feel you needed somehow to get more light into the lovely face though.

Fair comment Brian, with hindsight I would use fill in flash with this sort of shot next time instead of a reflector.
Thank you all for your comments.

A well taken and composed shot. I prefer the colour version though.

Nice image Fran.
Like the rim lighting on the arm.
As you have already commented maybe use a diffused fill-in flash next time.

Some serious challenge from that strong back lighting I should think Fran. Imo you have done extremely well. Fine portrait.

Lovely shot fran, i prefer the colour version. Interesting point raised re the light on the face. Something we can all learn from.

Works for me. The mono is a bit contrasty for my taste: the colour version is lovely.

I love the background: I might have moved a tiny fraction to separate the model from the leaves, and let them frame her - but it's always easy to spot things in other people's pictures...

A nice casual portrait image! I must say, I prefer the B&W version.

Cheers
