Koorian Farm

By freckles
Took this photo after a long days work, mulching Avocado trees, up at our family farm in Gingin.

This is taken from the top of 'Poison Hill' (it's not poison; don't know how it got its name really Smile looking out to a part of our farm. This tree or part of, is the only standing on top of the hill, and it hangs off the cliff face.

All comments welcome.

In the top left corner you can see a part of our olive grove and just above the trees to the right, some of our vineyard (which I have to say produces one of the best wine you will ever taste).

It's a well composed shot and I like the modelling of the light on the dead tree. The tree itself looks out of focus to me, and I think focussing on the hyperfocal distance would have improved the shot even more.

Hope this helps,

Pete

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments.

Pete,
I will definitely try focussing on a hyperfosal point next time, as I'm there regularly, thank you so much for your help, I couldn't figure it out. Smile
