Black Jaguar

Thanks for your clicks, comments & votes to my previous image for which I'm most appreciative.

I hope you may like my image today which was taken with Lillian & friends at WHF, Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden, Kent. I admire the tenacity of this Big Cat above all others and I respect it enormously - I don't think he had the same feelings for meGrin.Grin. He would not have hesitated to change from stealth to attack mode if I didn't move 2 metres away from the safety barrier pronto that separated us as he could easily have put his paw through the cage. This is the KING of the Jungle, a jungle VIP. I will always remember the moment when I moved back to a safer distance behind the safety barrier and lost my balance. Fortunately, no harm was done to my camera but my pride took a batteringBlushWink

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Didn't you do well, she is a real bruiser!!
has a broken jaw and munched up ears due to always fighting
so now on her own... and she loves to 'frighten you' always the one to be wary of!
You did well with your fast moving and also got this great shot Fred

good one, Fred.. well might be a real sweet creature.. and of course your own tenacity is enormously respectable too.. you know.. the cat still sleeps well.. and the photographer spends so much time and works a lot all the time.. and from the side of the jaguar, from his side 'trust' is the name of the game.. maybe he was just coming to take your hand in his.. Thanks, Lillian for your valuable insight & knowledge about the animals at the Big Cat Sanctuary. I would like to add that Lillian dedicated an enclosure at this site in memory of her late husband but it has yet to be built by WHF and this does cause her some sadness.

Must have been rather scary being so close to such a ferocious animal. You've done really well here and managed to get a super shot!

A really great close-up of this King-of-the-beasts, Fred, what a powerful animal! Given the chance he would probably eat DSLRs for breakfast Wink. Wonderful!
