Stay still, it won't hurt

I hope you may like my images today of the intimate behaviour between Red deer & Jackdaws in Bushy Park, S.London. They were taken in July last year. I thought they may be worth sharing. The Red deer hind & Jackdaw revealed great interaction as the Jackdaw removed parasites from the deer's nose, face & ears. One of the Versions also show that there were two Jackdaws on its face. This amusing symbiotic behaviour must also provide relief to the deer from parasites it cannot remove itself.

I prefer the versions as the lead makes it look like the jackdaw is near the eye.
I love the idea of symbiosis.

Those are some cheeky Jackdaws ....and the deer is obviously used to them..
