I don't know what camera settings you used Frederick, it seems to me that the water is burnt out, probably too long exposure.
Try shooting water on an overcast day and shorter shutter speed than you used here, you may also need a tripod to steady the camera.

Quite difficult circumstances to shoot in. Great composition. You could try PS to darken the highlights on the water-I had to do the same on a burnt out edge of limestone in bright sunlight. It's hard to get the balance in these situations. Great job otherwise. I like the rich coloured moss on the rocks. Paul
